Borderlands Trio is an American jazz ensemble comprising bassist Stephan Crump, pianist Kris Davis, and drummer Eric McPherson. Formed in 2016, the group is renowned for its improvisational performances that blend avant-garde jazz with modern classical music and experimental elements. Their debut album, "Asteroidea," was released in 2017, followed by "Wandersphere" in 2021 and "Rewilder" in 2024. All albums were issued under the Swiss label Intakt Records.
