Brandee Younger is an American harpist, composer, and educator from Hempstead, New York. She studied at The Hartt School of Music and earned a master's degree from New York University. Younger has collaborated with artists such as Pharoah Sanders, Ravi Coltrane, Jack DeJohnette, Common, and John Legend. In 2021, she released the album "Somewhere Different" on Impulse! Records, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Instrumental Composition for the track "Beautiful Is Black." In 2023, she released "Brand New Life," a tribute to harpist Dorothy Ashby, which won the 2024 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz Album.
