Brass Construction was an American funk group formed in 1968 in Brooklyn, New York. Originally known as Dynamic Soul, the band renamed itself Brass Construction and signed with United Artists Records in 1975. Their debut album featured the hit "Movin'," which reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart. The group released ten studio albums by 1985, blending funk, disco, and soul in their music. Members included Randy Muller (keyboards, vocals), Wade Williamston (bass guitar), Larry Payton (drums), Joseph Arthur-Wong (guitar), among others.
