Brian Hughes is a Canadian guitarist whose work draws from smooth jazz and Latin music. He also plays the oud, bouzouki, and balalaika. For over twenty years, he has collaborated with singer-songwriter Loreena McKennitt, co-producing many of her recordings and leading her touring band. His notable albums include "Between Dusk...and Dreaming" (1990), "Under One Sky" (1992), and "Straight to You" (1996). Hughes received the SOCAN Jazz and Instrumental Composer of the Year award seven times between 1997 and 2008.
