Brian Poole & The Tremeloes were an English beat group formed in 1958 in Dagenham, England. Initially known as Brian Poole and the Tremoloes, the band was influenced by Buddy Holly and The Crickets. In 1962, they signed with Decca Records and achieved a UK chart-topper in 1963 with "Do You Love Me". Other hits included "Twist and Shout" and "Someone, Someone". After Brian Poole's departure in 1966, the band continued as The Tremeloes, achieving further success with songs like "Here Comes My Baby" and "Silence Is Golden".
