Brigitte Engerer was a French pianist born on October 27, 1952, in Tunis. She studied at the Paris Conservatory and later at the Moscow Conservatory under Stanislav Neuhaus. In 1980, she debuted with the Berlin Philharmonic under Herbert von Karajan. Engerer was known for her interpretations of works by composers such as Chopin, Schumann, and Liszt. She recorded the complete Chopin Nocturnes and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. She collaborated with artists like Boris Berezovsky and Olivier Charlier. She passed away on June 23, 2012, in Paris.
