Brinsley Schwarz was an English pub rock band active from 1969 to 1975. Named after their guitarist Brinsley Schwarz, the band included Nick Lowe (bass guitar, vocals), Bob Andrews (keyboards), and Billy Rankin (drums). In 1970, guitarist Ian Gomm joined the lineup. The band released six studio albums, including "Brinsley Schwarz" (1970), "Despite It All" (1970), "Silver Pistol" (1972), and "Nervous on the Road" (1972). Their music blended elements of rock, pub rock, and country rock. After the band's dissolution, members continued their musical careers; Brinsley Schwarz and Bob Andrews joined Graham Parker & the Rumour, while Nick Lowe and Ian Gomm pursued solo careers.
