BucherSommerFriedli & Aeby is a Swiss jazz quartet comprising Michael Bucher (guitar), Patrick Sommer (double bass and electric bass), Tobias Friedli (drums and percussion), and Stefan Aeby (piano and Fender Rhodes). The group is known for their intricate structures and improvisations without safety nets. Their album "Where Is Now?" was released in 2013 under the Double Moon Records label. All members studied at various Swiss music colleges and pursued further musical education in New York and Los Angeles. They are active in the Swiss jazz scene and frequently engage in other musical genres, as well as film and theater music.
