Buck Owens was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who played a pivotal role in popularizing the "Bakersfield sound" in the 1960s. As the leader of The Buckaroos, he achieved 21 number-one hits on the Billboard country music chart. His most notable songs include "Act Naturally," "Love's Gonna Live Here," and "Together Again." Owens also co-hosted the television show "Hee Haw" from 1969 to 1986. He is a member of both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
