cd - Bud Ashton

Bud Ashton was a pseudonym used by Embassy Records in the United Kingdom during the 1950s and 1960s for various studio guitarists who recorded cover versions of popular instrumental hits of the time. Musicians recording under this name included Vic Flick, Big Jim Sullivan, Bert Weedon, Tony Moretti, and primarily Bob Rogers of the Ted Taylor Four. The album "Man Of Mystery - Embassy's Swingin' Guitarist, 1959-1962" compiles all singles released under the Bud Ashton name during this period, featuring covers of tracks by The Shadows, Duane Eddy, and other leading instrumentalists of the era.
