Buddy Guy, born George Guy in 1936 in Lettsworth, Louisiana, is an American blues guitarist and singer. He began his career as a session musician for Chess Records in Chicago, collaborating with legendary blues figures like Muddy Waters. Guy's impassioned and energetic guitar playing influenced many rock musicians, including Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. His breakout album, "Damn Right, I've Got The Blues," brought him international fame. He is a recipient of multiple Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
