Buddy Knox was an American singer and songwriter, best known for his 1957 hit "Party Doll". Born in Happy, Texas, he began his career with the band Rhythm Orchids. Throughout his career, he released several successful singles, including "Rock Your Little Baby To Sleep" and "Hula Love". Knox was among the first rock and roll artists to write his own songs. His music blended elements of rockabilly and pop, influencing many later artists. He collaborated with producer Norman Petty and recorded for labels such as Roulette Records and Liberty Records.
