C.K. Mann & His Carousel 7 was a Ghanaian highlife band led by Charles Kofi Amankwaa Mann. The group was known for blending traditional highlife with funk and soul elements. Their 1975 album "Funky Highlife" features the track "Asafo beesuon," a multi-layered, drum-heavy, funk medley lasting over 13 minutes. Mann was awarded the Grand Medal of Ghana in 2006 for his contribution to Ghanaian music.
