Carach Angren is a Dutch symphonic black metal band formed in 2003 in Landgraaf. Their music is characterized by prominent orchestral arrangements and lyrics based on ghost stories and folklore. Their debut album, "Lammendam" (2008), is a concept album about the legend of the "White Lady." Subsequent albums, such as "Death Came Through a Phantom Ship" (2010) and "Where the Corpses Sink Forever" (2012), continued to narrate dark tales. The band is known for using multiple languages in their lyrics, including English, French, German, and Dutch. In 2020, they released "Franckensteina Strataemontanus," inspired by the life of Johann Konrad Dippel.
