Carlos Vega is an American saxophonist and composer born and raised in Miami, Florida. During his university jazz studies, he was active in the local Latin music scene, which influenced his unique musical style. He has collaborated with artists such as Gloria Estefan, Arturo Sandoval, and Tito Puente. In 2005, he moved to Chicago, where he recorded the album "Bird's Ticket" with local musicians. Vega is currently an Associate Professor of Saxophone and leads the Latin Jazz Ensemble at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee.
