Catatonia was a Welsh alternative rock band formed in 1992. The lineup included vocalist Cerys Matthews, guitarist Mark Roberts, bassist Paul Jones, guitarist Owen Powell, and drummer Aled Richards. Their second album, "International Velvet," released in 1998, reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and featured hits like "Mulder and Scully" and "Road Rage." The band was known for their unique sound that blended alternative rock with Britpop. After releasing four studio albums, Catatonia disbanded in 2001.
