Description

Discover the early recordings of legendary pianist, singer, and songwriter Jimmy McCracklin in the compilation "The Original Blues Blasters 1945-1951". This 2-CD set, released on May 31, 2024, captures his initial forays into West Coast Blues, Jump Blues, and R&B. McCracklin, regarded as the most important musician to emerge from the Bay Area post-World War II, formed his Blues Blasters band in 1946. This collection features his earliest recordings from 1945 to 1951, including pre-Blues Blasters tracks, and serves as a prequel to another 2-CD set, "Hear My Story". Don't miss the opportunity to experience the authentic sound of one of the pioneers of blues music.
