The recording took place at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg under the direction of Roberto González-Monjas. The album features guest appearances by mandolinist Avi Avital and soprano Nikola Hillebrand. Schuen also collaborates with pianist Daniel Heide, with whom he has previously released acclaimed Schubert recordings.
