Description

'Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)' is Brian Eno's second solo album, released in November 1974. This avant-garde rock album blends experimental sounds with catchy melodies, featuring lyrics that explore themes such as espionage and the Chinese Communist revolution. The album was inspired by a series of postcards depicting a Chinese revolutionary opera of the same name. During recording, Eno and his friend Peter Schmidt developed a set of instructional cards called 'Oblique Strategies' to guide the creative process. This 2009 reissue is available on red CD, making it an attractive addition for collectors and fans of experimental music.
