Charlie Daniels & the Beau Weevils is a musical project formed in 2018 under the leadership of country music legend Charlie Daniels. The group comprised Charlie Daniels (vocals, guitar, fiddle), producer and drummer James Stroud, guitarist Billy Crain, and bassist Charlie Hayward. Their sole album, "Songs in the Key of E," was released in 2018 and features 10 tracks blending elements of country, blues, and southern rock. The album was re-released in 2025 under the name "Charlie Daniels & the Beau Weevils." Notable songs include "Geechi Geechi Ya Ya Blues," "Mexico Again," and "Mudcat." The project was acclaimed for its authentic sound and contribution to the genre.
