Charlie Mackesy is a British artist, illustrator, and author known for his 2019 book "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse." The book has been translated into over 40 languages and received awards such as the Waterstones Book of the Year and Barnes and Noble Book of the Year in 2019. Mackesy began his career as a cartoonist for The Spectator and an illustrator for Oxford University Press. He collaborated with Richard Curtis on charitable projects for Comic Relief and with Nelson Mandela on the lithograph project The Unity Series. His works have been exhibited in galleries in London and New York, and his bronze sculptures are located in public spaces in London, including Highgate Cemetery and Brompton Road.
