Cheetah was an Australian hard rock band active from 1976 to 1984. The main members and co-lead vocalists were English-born sisters Chrissie and Lyndsay Hammond. In April 1982, they released their only album, "Rock & Roll Women". Their 1978 single "Walking in the Rain" reached No. 10 on the Australian Kent Music Report Singles Chart. The band toured Australia, the United Kingdom, and continental Europe, including performances at Denmark's Roskilde Festival and the 1982 Reading Festival with Iron Maiden before an audience of 120,000. After disbanding in 1984, Chrissie joined Rick Wakeman, and Lyndsay released a solo album, "The Raven", in 1997. Cheetah reunited in 2006 for the Countdown Spectacular and a subsequent European tour.
