Chelsea Light Moving was an American alternative rock band formed in 2012 in New York City. The band consisted of Samara Lubelski, John Moloney, Thurston Moore, and Keith Wood. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2013 on Matador Records. The band's songs featured references to avant-garde artists and 1960s countercultural movements. The band's name was inspired by a moving company started by composer Philip Glass. The band disbanded in 2015, and Thurston Moore has since continued his music career under his own name.
