Child's Play is an American rock band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 1983. The original lineup included Larry Hinshaw (vocals), Brian Jack (guitar), Phil Wiser (bass), Jimmy Shafer (guitar), and Chad Channing (drums). In 1986, they released the EP "Ruff House". After lineup changes, including the addition of bassist Idzi and vocalist Brian Jack, they signed with Chrysalis Records in 1989. Their debut album, "Rat Race", was released in 1990, produced by Howard Benson, and featured singles like "Rat Race", "Day After Night", and "Wind". In 1993, they released their second album, "Long Way", with new vocalist Tommy McRae. The band disbanded in 1995 but has occasionally reunited for performances.
