Children of Bodom was a Finnish melodic death metal band from Espoo, active from 1993 to 2019. Originally known as Inearthed, the band released ten studio albums, including 'Follow the Reaper', which achieved gold certification in Finland. Their music combined elements of melodic death metal and power metal. After disbanding in 2019, members Alexi Laiho and Daniel Freyberg formed Bodom After Midnight. Laiho, the primary songwriter and guitarist, passed away in December 2020.
