Children of the Stones is a musical project founded in 2013 in London, England, by Mark Van Hoen and vocalist Martin Maeers. Van Hoen, known for his work with bands such as Seefeel, Locust, and Black Hearted Brother, collaborated with Maeers, with whom he had been working since their school days. Their debut album, "The Stars & The Silence," was released in March 2014 under Saint Marie Records. The album features contributions from musicians like Neil Halstead of Slowdive and Rachel Davies of Esben & The Witch. Children of the Stones' music blends elements of electronic, indie pop, and shoegaze, creating an atmospheric and layered sound.
