Chris Boltendahl, frontman of the German heavy metal band Grave Digger, released his first solo album "Reborn in Flames" in 2023 with his band Chris Boltendahl's Steelhammer. The album features 10 tracks co-written with guitarist Tobias Kersting, formerly of Orden Ogan. Lars Schneider (ex-Orden Ogan) plays bass, and Patrick Klose (Iron Savior) is on drums. The album was recorded in various studios and mixed and mastered at Boltendahl's Graveyard Studio. Musically, it combines elements of classic heavy metal and power metal, including a cover of Midnight Oil's "Beds Are Burning."
