Chris Jarrett is an American composer and pianist born in 1956 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He studied at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Indiana University but did not complete his studies due to financial reasons. Throughout his career, he composed the ballet "For Anne Frank" (1985) and the opera "John Donne." He released albums such as "Tanz auf dem Vulkan" and "Aufruf/Outcry." In 2024, he released the album "Sechs Hölderlin Lieder, English Songs and Music for Solo Piano" with baritone Orlando Schenk. His music blends elements of classical music and jazz.
