Christopher Hinterhuber is an Austrian pianist born in 1973 in Klagenfurt. He studied with Rudolf Kehrer and Heinz Medjimorec at the University of Music in Vienna, and with Lazar Berman at the Accademia Pianistica in Imola. In 2001, he won second place at the Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna. He has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and Wigmore Hall in London. Hinterhuber has collaborated with orchestras like the Wiener Symphoniker and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. His recordings include works by Haydn, Ferdinand Ries, and Zemlinsky.
