Clark Terry was an American jazz trumpeter and a pioneer in the use of the flugelhorn in jazz. Over his more than 70-year career, he played with notable musicians such as Charlie Barnet, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Quincy Jones. He was a member of The Tonight Show Band from 1962 to 1972. Terry recorded over 900 albums and influenced many musicians, including Miles Davis and Quincy Jones.
