Clipper Anderson is a renowned bassist and vocalist from the American Northwest, active on the jazz scene for over thirty years. In 2013, he released his first vocal album, "Ballad of the Sad Young Men," featuring twelve tracks including "Blood Count" and "Only the Lonely." The album features collaborations with pianist Darin Clendenin and drummer Mark Ivester. Anderson is known for his smooth voice and rich phrasing, reminiscent of Johnny Hartman. In addition to his vocal performances, he is also recognized as a bassist, having contributed to over 60 recordings.
