empty cell Comedian Harmonists
The Comedian Harmonists were a German male vocal group active between 1928 and 1934. The ensemble comprised Harry Frommermann (tenor buffo), Ari Leschnikoff (first tenor), Erich A. Collin (second tenor), Roman Cycowski (baritone), Robert Biberti (bass), and Erwin Bootz (pianist). Their repertoire spanned a wide range of songs, from folk and classical pieces to popular tunes of the era. The group was renowned for their ability to harmonize seamlessly and use their voices to mimic musical instruments. Their career was cut short in 1934 due to the Nazi regime, as three members were of Jewish descent. Despite this, they remain a significant part of musical history.
