Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen was an American country rock band formed in 1967 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Led by George Frayne IV, known as Commander Cody, the band's music blended country rock, western swing, and rockabilly. Their most notable hit was "Hot Rod Lincoln" in 1971, which reached the top ten on the Billboard chart. Significant albums include "Lost in the Ozone" (1971), "Hot Licks, Cold Steel & Truckers Favorites" (1972), and "Country Casanova" (1973).
