Compay Segundo, born Máximo Francisco Repilado Muñoz Telles in 1907 in Siboney, Cuba, was a renowned Cuban guitarist, singer, and composer. He significantly contributed to the son cubano genre and was a member of the duo Los Compadres. In the 1990s, he gained international fame as part of the Buena Vista Social Club project. His notable compositions include "Chan Chan." In 1999, he released the album "Calle Salud," featuring tracks like "Saludo a Changó" and "Lágrimas Negras."
