Conor Oberst is an American singer-songwriter best known as the frontman of Bright Eyes. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he began his music career at a young age. In addition to Bright Eyes, he has been a member of bands such as Desaparecidos, The Faint, Commander Venus, Park Ave., Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, Monsters of Folk, and Better Oblivion Community Center. In 2008, Rolling Stone magazine named him the Best Songwriter. His music spans genres including indie rock, folk, and alternative country.
