Contemporary Noise Ensemble is a Polish jazz band formed in 2006 by brothers Jakub and Bartosz Kapsa following the dissolution of their previous hardcore-punk band, Something Like Elvis. Their debut album, "Pig Inside the Gentleman," was released in 2006, followed by "Unaffected Thought Flow" (2008) and "Ghostwriter's Joke" (2011). After a hiatus of over a decade, they returned in 2023 with "An Excellent Spiritual Serviceman," showcasing a new sound that incorporates programmable synthesizers in place of the brass section.
