Coroner is a Swiss thrash metal band formed in 1985 in Zurich. The original lineup consisted of guitarist Tommy Vetterli (Tommy T. Baron), bassist and vocalist Ron Broder (Ron Royce), and drummer Marky Edelmann (Marquis Marky). The band is known for its technically demanding style, combining thrash metal with progressive and avant-garde elements. Their most notable albums include "R.I.P." (1987), "Punishment for Decadence" (1988), "No More Color" (1989), and "Grin" (1993). Coroner is considered one of the pioneers of technical thrash metal and is often referred to as the "Rush of thrash metal." After disbanding in 1996, the band reunited in 2010 and has since continued to perform and record new material. The products available from the artist Coroner include CDs.
