Crispy Ambulance is an English post-punk band formed in Manchester in 1977 by Alan Hempsall and Robert Davenport. They were later joined by Keith Darbyshire and Gary Madeley. Influenced by bands like Magazine and Hawkwind, they released several singles and their debut album "The Plateau Phase" in 1982 under Factory Benelux. After disbanding in 1982, they reunited in 1999 and released additional studio albums, including "Scissorgun" in 2002 and "The Powder Blind Dream" in 2004. The band is known for their experimental approach to post-punk music.
