Cryptic Slaughter is an American crossover thrash band from Santa Monica, California, formed in 1984. Their debut album, "Convicted" (1986), is considered one of the earliest examples of the crossover thrash genre. They followed with "Money Talks" (1987), "Stream of Consciousness" (1988), and "Speak Your Peace" (1990). The band is known for their fast tempos and politically charged lyrics that critique social injustice and political corruption. After several hiatuses and lineup changes, the band reunited in 2021 and planned to release a new album. The products available from the artist Cryptic Slaughter include vinyls.
