Cuby + Blizzards, a Dutch blues band, was formed in 1964 in the province of Drenthe and gained recognition through collaborations with international musicians such as Eddie Boyd and Van Morrison. Their 1966 album "Desolation" is often regarded as one of the masterpieces of Dutch blues. The band became an icon in the blues rock genre, gaining fame beyond the borders of the Netherlands for their powerful performances and passionate interpretations. Cuby + Blizzards' work remains an indelible part of the global blues scene. Until 1972, the ensemble was led by charismatic singer Harry Muskee.
