Little Anthony and the Imperials is an American rhythm and blues/soul vocal group from New York City, founded by Clarence Collins in the 1950s. The group was named after its lead singer, Jerome "Little Anthony" Gourdine, known for his high-pitched voice. Their first single, "Tears on My Pillow," released in 1958, became an instant hit, selling over one million copies. In the 1960s, they achieved further success with songs like "Goin' Out of My Head" and "Hurt So Bad." In 2009, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
