Curiosity Killed the Cat was a British pop band formed in London in 1984. Their debut album, "Keep Your Distance" (1987), reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and included hits like "Down to Earth" and "Misfit". In 1989, they released "Getahead" featuring the hit "Name and Number". In 1992, under the shortened name Curiosity, they achieved a top 5 UK Singles Chart position with a cover of "Hang On in There Baby". The band disbanded in 1994 but occasionally reunited for performances.
