Cyprien Katsaris is a French-Cypriot pianist, teacher, and composer. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire under Aline van Barentzen and Monique de la Bruchollerie. In 1966, he debuted at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. He is known for his recordings of Liszt's transcriptions of Beethoven's symphonies and works by Mozart, Chopin, and Grieg. In 2001, he founded his own label, Piano 21. His accolades include Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (2000) and Médaille Vermeil de la Ville de Paris (2001).
