Daan Vandewalle is a Belgian pianist specializing in 20th and 21st-century music. He studied at the Conservatory of Ghent under Claude Coppens and at Mills College in California under Alvin Curran. Vandewalle has premiered works by composers such as Frederic Rzewski, Sorabji, Clarence Barlow, and Christian Wolff. His discography includes complete editions of compositions by Alvin Curran and Gordon Mumma. He has performed at significant events like the Prague Spring Festival and in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York. Since 2001, he has been teaching piano at the Conservatory of Ghent.
