ETERNAL HAILS is the nineteenth studio album by Norwegian legends Darkthrone, released on May 17, 2024. This album delivers 41 minutes of epic black heavy metal across five expansive compositions. The organic and dynamic sound explores the finest elements of vintage metal and doom, while maintaining Darkthrone's unmistakable style. Recorded at Chaka Khan Studio in Oslo, the album also features the use of the Moog synthesizer, further expanding the band's sonic landscapes. The cover art showcases "Pluto and Charon" (1972) by renowned sci-fi artist David A. Hardy, symbolizing the connection between Darkthrone's early works and their current sound.
