Das EFX is an American hip-hop duo consisting of MCs Dray (Andre Weston) and Skoob (William Hines). The group formed in 1988 at Virginia State University. Their debut album, "Dead Serious" (1992), achieved platinum status and featured the hit "They Want EFX." Subsequent albums include "Straight Up Sewaside" (1993), "Hold It Down" (1995), "Generation EFX" (1998), and "How We Do" (2003). Das EFX was part of the Hit Squad collective and collaborated with artists such as EPMD and Ice Cube.
