Dasol Kim is a South Korean pianist born in 1989 in Busan. He began studying piano at the age of 11 and later graduated from the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover under the guidance of Arie Vardi. In 2010, he won sixth prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, and in 2012, he secured second prize at the Concours Géza Anda in Switzerland. He has performed with orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. His debut album featuring works by Robert Schumann was released in 2015 under Deutsche Grammophon. In 2023, he released an album of Franz Schubert's works under Aparté Music.
