Dave Davies is an English guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known as the lead guitarist and occasional vocalist for The Kinks, a band he co-founded with his brother Ray Davies in 1963. His innovative use of guitar distortion, notably on "You Really Got Me," significantly influenced the development of hard rock and punk rock. Beyond his work with The Kinks, Davies released several solo albums, including "AFL1-3603" (1980), "Glamour" (1981), and "Chosen People" (1983).
