David Fray is a French pianist renowned for his interpretations of works ranging from Bach to Boulez. He has collaborated with leading orchestras and conductors, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. Notable recordings include "J.S. Bach: Goldberg Variations" (2021) and "Bach: Sonatas for Violin & Keyboard Nos 3-6" (2019). In 2021, he founded the L’Offrande Musicale festival in his native Hautes-Pyrénées region. Fray has received multiple awards, including the Opus Klassik Award for Innovative Concert of the Year in 2020. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris under Jacques Rouvier.
