David Westlake is an English singer-songwriter, known as the leader of the indie band The Servants, which he formed in 1985 in Hayes, Middlesex, England. The band appeared on the NME C86 compilation in 1986 and was the original home of Luke Haines. Westlake released his first solo album, "Westlake," in 1987 under Creation Records, collaborating with Haines and The Triffids' rhythm section. The album was reissued in 2023 under the title "D87."
